Hello my name is Mark,

I was recently dismissed from my Night Shift Receptionist job at the TRAVELODGEHotel for setting off the fire alarm, when I was in doubt if a fire had actually broken out within the hotel. For the best interests and safety of my guests I started the evacuation and thankfully there was no fire.

Despite being trained that whenever in doubt of a serious issue, I am to set off the alarm as a precaution. The guests safety is our top priority. That is what I did and I was sacked for doing my job but I was accused of being incompetent. I had no complaints against me before and had received positive feedback from guests in the past with all walks of life. I wasn't even given a disciplinary warning or even a final warning in order to keep my job and to give my cautious mistake additional training when responding to potential urgent intense situations.

Now in Cameron's Britain. I will not be able to receive any Job Seekers Allowance for 26 Weeks for my unjustified dismissal and I'm unsure if I can seek any other benefits. My savings will only last for so long so please support me, so I can appeal against this decision from the Travelodge and get some form of compensation.

I do not ask for any charity, that can be better spent on those who need it. I only wish that if you feel like me where I've been treated unfairly in loosing my job, you can please give me your signature to help with my appeal.

Thank you for your time.

Mark

Total BS. i worked in hotels for years and you never get penalized for a fire drill. Fight this one man.

Absolutely insane. Getting fired for preventing a potential tragedy? Hope you get your job back or find somewhere better that actually values their employees.

This is ridiculous. You followed protocol and prioritized guest safety. Travelodge should be ashamed of themselves.
