The government has announced many generous stimulus packages to help the Australian community during this COVID-19 pandemic. It is such a difficult time for so many. However temporary visa holders have been left behind in each package with only "permanent" visa holders being eligible.

It takes many many years to obtain a permanent visa status. Individuals undertake long and expensive visa processes before they are granted a permanent visa. During this time they set up a life within Australia, have working rights to work within Australia, pay tax in Australia, build houses and start families in Australia. They contribute to Australian society and consider Australia home.

So why have they been forgotten by the Australian government in this time of need?
