In February 2016, President Obama signed the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act which provides for better border supervision to eliminate any goods made by child or slave labor. Given a reasonable petition that certain goods were made by forced labor, Border Protection and Customs now have the right to investigate and seize these imports. This Act is a major step towards purifying supply chains, but it needs your support to be implemented effectively. Without the activism and involvement of citizens and businesses, goods made by children or slaves could pass through borders and be sold unfairly in the United States. Please sign this petition to enforce this legislation among big businesses that may be abusing supply chains.
About time we actually do something about this. No kid should be working in a factory for our cheap junk. Stop letting this stuff into the country.
