At the moment there are 215 million child laborers, 21 million slave laborers, and billions of unfair laborers.

Child laborers around the globe children are pulled out of school to work in fields, factories, or any other labor intensive area because their families are not receiving livable wages. In worse scenarios, children are tricked into thinking they will be working for money only to wake up the next day as a child slave, now thousands of miles away from their families. When it comes to unfair labor, these people are worked like robots in places like sweatshops, only to make so little for their day's work.

For all three problems, there is a commonality between them. This commonality is that these people all work to inevitably produce consumer goods. Goods you, we, and your family and friends consume every single day.

Therefore, change can only be made if we, the consumers, push and inevitably create the demand for goods produced by fair labor. By signing this petition, you are creating the demand to show companies that we will still be there to support whether or not the prices need to change in order to pay these people fairly. These companies can then take responsibility into their hands to supply this demand.

We have the control over our actions and what change we want to make concerning people who are no different than us. We have the power to make sure things go right in their lives, that they get the same opportunities as us, and that we put our foot down and deem it unacceptable...not tomorrow, not in a few years, but today.
