Help change our current USPS location from Bradley to the USPS ACCEPTABLE location of Lake Nacimiento or Nacimiento Lake
We the undersigned Communities and Businesses of North San Luis Obispo (SLO) County with an assigned Monterey County City name of Bradley are requesting the United States Postal Service (USPS) to change the current location name of Bradley to be recognized as a USPS ACCEPTABLE location of Lake Nacimiento or Nacimiento Lake San Luis Obispo County,
Assignment of a recognized SLO County location (Lake Nacimiento or Lake Nacimiento) will embrace these citizens and businesses by inclusion into the Area of Responsibility (AOR), from ALL SLO County Local Emergency Response Teams, State Government, SLO County and City Agencies. A designated USPS Location of Lake Nacimiento or Nacimiento Lake will enhance the quality of life for ALL the communities/businesses on the North Side of Lake Nacimiento and inclusion into future infrastructure and enhancement plans.

When purchasing a car in 2020, I had to argue with the dealership about paying sales tax on the vehicle to SLO rather than Monterey County. I tried using my property tax bill to prove I lived in SLO county but there was no city listed. This is just one of many problems encountered with living in SLO county and having an address in Monterey County.
I have lived on lake nacimiento. San luis obispo county for 19 years. I do not live anywhere near Bradley. DELIVERIES AND INSURANCES and having to pay for a. P.o. Box in Paso past 15 years is ridiculous. Enough is enough! Years ago we had lake nacimiento on our drivers license because washington d.c. postal said " we recognize it as an area...ok". PLEASE PUT THAT "OK" BACK. Thank you.
Thank you for getting the zip code change for our area! It’s so important that we’ll finally be recognized and associated as part of SLO county - and receive the support and benefits our tax and consumer dollars pay into. We have always been known as “Lake Nacimiento” so that is my vote for the new name of our zip code area. Can’t wait for this to be finalized!
Lake Nacimiento, CA was approved few years ago. My drivers license is proof. But then it was pulled. We greatly appreciate the fact that the zip code is now san Luis Obispo County. But our location is NOT Bradley. Put our correct name location back on the books. We are in and on Lake Nacimiento, CA.
A precedent has been established by the USPS of granting the request of other communities to be acknowledged by a name related to the history of their immediate location. Bradley is 22 miles away. We are the proud citizens who reside in San Obispo County. We are Lake Nacimiento.

The current conditions always effect which need stations we get as well. I always have to fight with the cable company about wanting SLO news not Monterey based off address. This would alleviate so much confusions.
