** UPDATE 7/21 **

Buffy is now safe at home. Fortunately, an unbiased Hearing Officer saw through the BS and downgraded the designation from "vicious" to "dangerous" that allowed us to bring her home. I'm puzzled as to why Buffy was not cleared of all designation based on NO evidence showing that the bite was caused by Buffy. It's still only the words from an individual that has not been truthful. More work will be needed to prove Buffy was FRAMED.

Thank you so much for your support.

Seeing the count climb toward one hundred signers is absolutely overwhelming because I truly never imagined this level of support for Buffy. You all are the reason she felt a little more protected today and I am so grateful to every single one of you for taking this path with us.

Release Buffy! I have owned two female pitbulls for the past 12 years. They coexisted with my two rat terriers and cats. My granddaughters best friends. In fact, my granddaughter could not sleep without one or both. Reunite the family!

This incident is not Buffy’s fault. Buffy was protecting her owner who was being attacked, as any dog would. This treatment of Buffy is cruel and unnecessary—I urge you to listen to your conscience and voice of reason and allow Buffy reunite with her owner.

Return Buffy to her owner. Review the facts and the bite mark. It was not from Buffy, it was from a small dog, the dog owned by the person who was bit, not Buffy. This is illegitimate seizure of property(this poor dog) without proof.

It seems that Buffy is wrongly accused of a bite and her owner was attacked by an irate person whose dog displayed aggression. Please release Buffy to her family. Where is the real due process for Buffy? She doesn’t deserve to euthanized.

The process followed in this case as relayed by the owner does not adhere to what citizens expect from agencies that receive our tax dollars. A full investigation must take place before the euthanization of an animal using tax dollars and community resources.

We've had numerous interactions with Buffy when the owners are walking her and she's always been great. She doesn't even attempt to go up to my cats that are usually right on the porch. The owners are always very attentive to her. Please send her home.

Please carefully consider both sides of the story before passing judgment on Buffy.

You can also lodge a complaint against the Judge via the Attorney General. It's a very simple process. Just call them for more info. I have a client who went through this in Contra Costa County & the Judge did the same thing. "Dangerous" dog is not a good designation and you'll have some very stressful restrictions for a long time. Plus I'm sure this whole thing was expensive. They impound the dog and then charge the owner. It's not warranted if they don't even know if your dog actually bit someone. They MUST dismiss this case against your dog, since the Plaintiff - the other dog owner - has no proof your dog bit her. And you DO have proof, since the bite mark is too small. It's the Plaintiff's job to PROVE their case. Otherwise the Judge must dismiss it.
