Please carefully consider both sides of the story before passing judgment on Buffy.

Release Buffy! I have owned two female pitbulls for the past 12 years. They coexisted with my two rat terriers and cats. My granddaughters best friends. In fact, my granddaughter could not sleep without one or both. Reunite the family!

You can also lodge a complaint against the Judge via the Attorney General. It's a very simple process. Just call them for more info. I have a client who went through this in Contra Costa County & the Judge did the same thing. "Dangerous" dog is not a good designation and you'll have some very stressful restrictions for a long time. Plus I'm sure this whole thing was expensive. They impound the dog and then charge the owner. It's not warranted if they don't even know if your dog actually bit someone. They MUST dismiss this case against your dog, since the Plaintiff - the other dog owner - has no proof your dog bit her. And you DO have proof, since the bite mark is too small. It's the Plaintiff's job to PROVE their case. Otherwise the Judge must dismiss it.

Animal Control & "Peace Officers" have an obligation to do proper investigations at a scene. I hope Buffy's parents will lodge a complaint with the police department's internal affairs for the way the incident / evidence was handled. I hope Buffy's parents will get attorneys to represent them and be careful what they say publicly so their words aren't turned against them. And I hope Buffy's parents will consider filing a civil action personal injury against the person who's aggressive dog prompted so much trouble, and who's owner/guardian admitted to assaulting Buffy's parent. Being prejudiced against a dog due to its breed and not doing a proper investigation, is not the work of a balanced or fair animal control officer or police officer. I do hope the officer(s) are properly investigated. One can always lodge a complaint FOR FREE with the Attorney General re a police department. Sending love & prayers to Buffy. Just hang in there, and get your dog back.

Buffy needs to be released. She is being held because of her breed and what the Maltese's owner said, not due to facts. Please do the right thing and let Buffy out and live her life.

just goes to show once again how messed up the system is along with how much people truly dont care about animals lives and it is heartbreaking. nor does anyone care ab the truth or evidence, they only care based off of their own thoughts and opinions. let buffy live!! you are actually torturing the dog by doing this! let buffy go home!

This is ridiculous. Seems Daly City PD treats bully the same way they treat people of color.

Show proof that Buffy was the one at fault! And let her humans see her!!!! Shame on the lady who got bit on the hand! Maybe she should’ve had control of her dog on a better leash!!
