We are calling on the Honorable Immigration Judge and Officers to reconsider the case of Enio Martinez, a beloved Marathon, Florida resident who was detained following his immigration hearing on April 15, 2025.

Enio has no criminal history. He fled Guatemala in 2019 after surviving a brutal assault, repeated threats, and a robbery that left him fearing for his life. Since arriving in the U.S., Enio has built a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. He is a dedicated father, husband, church member, and provider for his wife and three children – one of whom is graduating high school next month.

His detention is causing severe hardship to his family and community. If deported, he would face real danger, economic instability, and inadequate access to medical care in Guatemala.

Enio is not a flight risk. He has followed all immigration procedures and continues to be a positive force in our community. We urge you to sign this petition and stand with the many who support his safe return home.

Please help us keep this family together.

April 20, 2025

I keep looking at the screen and seeing all these people who care and it honestly makes my head spin because just a while ago I felt like I was shouting into a void. It is wild how momentum works once people start actually listening and I am just trying to take a breath while I figure out the next step to get this in front of the judge.

Please, I ask that you allow Enio, whom I know to be an honest, hardworking, respectful, and responsible father, the opportunity to continue his life alongside his wife and three children, striving to provide them with a better educational opportunity in a safe environment here in the United States.

This is heartbreakingly tragic. Enio is one of the best people I know. He is a very hardworking family man that is always there to help people. Enio is an asset to the community and his community misses him. The USA is a better place with Enio in it. He is not a flight risk. His family needs him and he needs them. Please don’t tear this wonderful family apart.

Enio is like family to me. His kindness, loyalty, and friendship have been a constant source of support. He has always put others first, and the bond he share with his loved ones is something truly special. Losing him would leave a hole in all of our hearts, specially forr his wife and kids

And you have served us numerous occasions with help at our house in the Florida Keys. He also served us at the restaurant he worked at or food and we requested him upon going there every time he’s not a flight risk and we hope that you take this in the considerate Asian And let him stay with his family and friends and prosper in our society
