Dear Ms. Perry,
We would like to express our support for the Heart of Willamette Passport concept and the Heart of Willamette Winery Association’s Travel Oregon - Wine Country License Plate Matching Grant application. We are excited by the idea of a “passport” that will guide visitors to many of the outstanding wine, beer, spirits and culinary tourism destinations in the heart of the Willamette Valley.
We plan to be a full participant in the HOW Passport program when it starts in 2016 and see the benefits of promoting our business in conjunction with area wineries, craft brewers and distillers, dining establishments and other local attractions. By banding together we feel visitors will be encouraged to not only visit but to spend more time in the 35 miles that surrounds Corvallis.
I commend the commitment of the organizers and sponsors who are responsible for proposing this worthwhile project for our community in promoting wine and culinary tourism.
