With the rescinding of both the Finney County and Garden City Face Covering Ordinances we are uniting to ask the school districts in our community to honor the gating criterion and the levels that were created with the guidance of the KDHE at the beginning of the school year. At this point masks, along with other NPIs (Nonpharmaceutical Interventions), should be recommended not required. Our community data has decreased in severity and we are thankful that we have been in school for the majority of the year. We are asking that the School Boards in Finney County would recognize the autonomy of parents and families over their children's health.

Time to stop the grade standing and allow parent to make the choice. No one is saying that those that want to wear mask can’t but those that do not want to should no longer me made to.
All students should be supported to freely communicate in school without the limitations the mask places upon them. To restrain them by forced mask wearing is unconscionable!
Our kids need to see our faces!! Especially our kindergarten students! Do you know how hard it is to teach letters and sounds if they can’t see our mouths to decider a “b” from “p” or “d”. Our babies are suffering because of these masks. They need to see our facial expressions!!!
I’m signing for all my patients who have kids in school who are against prolonging this disputed mandate.
If the kids are learning science, then they need to learn the real science of wearing masks.

Get rid of the masks. Follow the original plan and stop changing it. The data in the district and county are showing it is time to lower levels and remove mask mandates.
