PETITION from the Turks and Caicos Islands Public calling on the Turks and Caicos Islands Government to ensure public access and right of ways to public Beaches.
To the House of Assembly:
We, the undersigned citizens, residents and visitors of the Turks and Caicos Islands, draw the attention of the House of Assembly to the following:
THAT many public beaches do not have addequate and obvious access or right of way;
THAT many public beaches lack signage and appropriate information for the public benefit;
THAT many public beaches lack trash disposal bins;
THEREFORE, your petitioners call upon Turks and Caicos Government to take the following actions:
1. To immediately priovide additional access to ALL public beaches;
2. To immediately errect signs at public beach accesses to inform the public of the name and cautions of the public park;
3. To immediately provide bins and regular waste disposal services.

Please do as Hawaii does, have public beach access signs, right of ways, and large trash containers that are emptied twice a week! Put that surplus tax that visitors pay to good use! That is if you want tourism to thrive.
Signage is great but trash collection is an absolute necessity.Also at Taylor Bay and at Sapodilla Bay and other, portable bathroom should be put in place!
As property owners we still feel there should be access to beaches for all. In our home town they didn’t get that done and some of our island beaches are closed to public access.
I spend weeks in TCI each year because of its stunning beauty, amazing peoples, and the beaches that are among the best in the world. For these beaches to be segregated and leased to private ventures is an outrage and should be stopped immediately.
I support this drive it’s about time TCI people & visitors alike be allowed to enjoy all beaches with out fear of being discriminated and racially abused!
This is a reasonable and sensible request. It makes no sense not to comply with these items.
We have been coming for 8 years and want to bring our grandchildren for a visit. Our favorite beach is Taylor and Sapadilla. Please continue access to ALL beaches. It is one of the reasons we come every year.

During our last trip, we could not access Taylor Beach. The footpath was nowhere to be seen, swallowed up by a private property. We reported it to the police but I guess they are powerless.
