The Confederate flag is history and heritage and has absolutely nothing to do with Slavery. No more than the Union flag stood for Slavery. It wasn't a Civil War it was a war of Northern Aggression.

My 2nd great grandfather died from a wound he received while fighting under the confederate battle flag. He was not a slave owner, nor was any of his family. He joined the fight because the Union had invaded his home.
