A facility where residents of Hatteras Island, young and old, can reap the physical and mental benefits of walking, jogging, running, jumping, and throwing. A Track and field complex where elementary students learn the skills to excel in all other sports in addition to learning sportsmanship and goal setting. High school athletes have the opportunity to compete in one of the few sports where an individual and a team can be competitive. This facility would be "Home of the Hurricanes", a connection to our sister schools where student-athletes are equal. A complex that Dare County Schools is proud to call theirs and invite schools from all over North Carolina to come experience the thrill of competition.
