In terms of the quality of its students, strength of its faculty, staff, administration, curriculum, academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, as well as athletics, the Fort LeBoeuf School District (FLB) is widely regarded as one of the premier school districts in the Erie area. However, one prominent area where the District falls noticeably short of its peer groups is in the quality of the playing surface that is found at Carm Bonito Field. Because the level of need for field use by the district and community continues to increase, while the field conditions continue to deteriorate, action is required in the immediate future. Accordingly, the Bison Booster Field of Dreams Committee is asking for your help and support. We are a developing group of community members, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and local businesses that is collectively committed to raising funds to contribute to the installation of artificial turf at Carm Bonito Field. The factors driving this collective effort include the following: Safety of Athletes, Condition of Field, Underutilization of Stadium Complex, Limited Resources for Continued Maintenance, Lack of Rest for Field, and Remaining Competitive with Peers. Thank you for visiting our page and we look forward to your working with you as we team up with the FLB Board of Directors in creating a "Field of Dreams" for our students and local community.
Seeing this level of support for the field project is humbling after so many months of quiet frustration. It is a grind to push for these changes but knowing I am not the only one who sees the need for better facilities keeps me moving forward.

I do think we need any kind of turf, and not just for athletic use, but for the marching band as well, so we can actually march our whole show at home football games instead of just standing in the driest place we could find

Finally! That field is a mud pit by the middle of September. Kids deserve better than playing in a swamp.

My son is in the band and the mud ruins all their gear. This would be such a huge help for all the programs honestly.

Long overdue. Every other school around here has turf already. Time for FLB to catch up.
