Hastings Farms - Windsor Healthcare Senior Living Campus

I don't mind ALF but dont like the idea of apartments or 4 stories. Two stories max.

I really dont think a 4 story building at the entrance of Hastings Farms will improve QC !..This really needs to be reconsidered

I too believe that a compromise should be reached in which the maximum height is two stories.

Four stories will fit in with zero architecture in this area. This is a rural town. Look around, like across the street. Propose something more appropriate.

Height needs to be kept at 1 story max 2. Id rather not have it but thats not my choice to vote on.

If we must have anything of this type of development at that location, the QC town\city or any other governing body should not have the right to simply decide what should go there. The community should have formal voting rights to decide how the land is used, and to accept, decline or ratify all proposals. This is nothing more than greed at the expense of the Hastings Farms residents. That said, suggestions concerning the current proposition: 1. No 4 stories, one story would be best, but no more than two. 2. No rental apartments. Purchase only. 3. If the other half must be commercial then make it small medical offices only. No strip shopping, gas or convenience stores.

This needed to be a vote by the homeowners of Hastings Farms as to whether or not to have this type of facility at all!

No 4 stories- have consideration for the home owners who lived here first! Property values will go down!

Yes, please don't build a four-story building in that area. It will look glaringly out of place and will hurt the rural feeling we enjoy so much in Queen Creek.

Yes, Hope, their plans are only using half the land. Which in turn opens us up to this debate again for the other half. If they spread it out and use up more of the land it would mean we would have less, in the long run, to worry about.

I strongly believe that a four story complex would obstruct the view of our neighborhood. It would certainly distract from our beautifully constructed homes. With the new light we just put in, it would cause a hiccup in our traffic in and out of the neighborhood. There are many options for that lot, I don’t think this is the best one.

Though I agree completely, we have to be a community united and I really love how Beverly above stated this. I commute 50 minutes to sometimes 1 hour and a half a day. I too bought out here for the small town farm feel.

I haven't the answers to that. What I know is by no means are we trying to stop it, but we are trying to keep them scaled back from proposed plans and keep it within C-2 zoning restrictions and regulations. I do not like it either and would rather anything that could keep to our small town feel but I feel it is to go to the meeting being united as one than be a community divided.

I am a part timer but concerned about the 4 story aspect. Values may drop, but will not make it a desirable place to live With all the open land in Az. Why here??

Thank you to all that have voiced your opinions and signed the petition. This meeting is with the Architect and the petition is not going to hold value yet. We are going to focus purely on the height of the complex and it will be on the developer to change it or push forward with their plans to the city council. At that time is when we will push the petition stating we have voiced our concerns and they did not listen. Thank you so much for your voices, your comments and your signatures. Everyone's opinion matters and counts. As for the noise and argumentative people on our community site, my answer to that is, they have the right to their opinions but we including myself should stop feeding them more things to poke at. Thank you in advance and bear with us as we fight one struggle at a time to help us in our hopes to voice for the whole community who does not want a structure that doesn't fit our neighborhood as a whole. A four story complex in our community would take away from the beauty this neighborhood has worked so hard to build.

Four stories is not acceptable for Queen Creek, to maintain that rural feel. We love our community and would love to still be able to see the entrance of our community from the road. We have other concerns about the splitting of this property into two parcels and what will be done with the second parcel. The people in the Pecans will surely loose line of sight of the mountains from their property. I do not believe this is a good fit for our community.

Queen creek should maintain small farm community feel. No 4 story buildings, will look out of place. Came to live here and work in phoenix for small community feel not a city sized building. Street traffic to our community will be a nightmare waiting for parallel parking in street Nd that many homes compacted for 55+ in an already congested area is a nightmare. Have to wait forever to turn down Chandlernheights as it is for traffic. If large building are built like this in a small town, what will intice people to want to live out here? Traffic is going to turn into San Tan valley traffic with all those people squished into a small area. Those people have a hard time selling their homes. No one wants to live out there, they do because it's cheaper. What will justify our home values if this is built? The farm land across the street is so beautiful. Our small downtown is beautiful and historic. Why cant we continue to keep that historic feeling encourage small business and restaurant, coffee house town feel. Places people can walk to and enjoy a downtown feel. To encourage outdoor living as a strong community. As a home owner I dont agree with this style of homes in a nice single family home area.
