The post office finally confirmed that Harmon is getting his own stamp. It has been a long and draining road to get here but we actually moved the needle. I am exhausted but relieved that his legacy is finally receiving this recognition.
Moving past one thousand signatures feels heavy today because the work ahead is still long. I am drained but seeing this number confirms that plenty of other people care about honoring Harmon just as much as we do.

Seeing this momentum grow has been exhausting yet deeply encouraging. I am tired of the bureaucracy but your response tells me we have to keep pushing for this stamp.

Saw Harmon Killebrew hit many a home run in DC when he played for the Senators. I was in stands when he hit his longest one in upper deck which came close to leaving stadium. Always a gentleman and loved signing autographs for kids.

I've had the privilege of meeting Harmon on several occasions. He is humble, but accommodating; frank, but sincere; open, but genuine. Harmon Killebrew is an example of Midwestern values. Harmon is an example of what a professional athlete should be.

I had the opportunity to work with Harmon in 2000, during the Twins 40th season. Great class & character to go along with his gifts as an athlete. To me, his work with hospice patients alone makes him worthy of this honor.

Harmon not only left his "footprint" in Minnesota, but his legacy as a baseball legend has cast a long shadow on America's national pastime. What better way to honor this legend than on a future U.S. postal stamp.

I follpwed the Twins since I was a boy. One day I was at my grandparents home celebrating my birthday when they announced Happy Birthday to Harmon Killebrew. Big day in a small boys life to find out your birthday and a minnesota twin was on the same day.
