The Rosa Parks Stamp Coalition and the non-profit organization, New Images Foundation collectively seeks signatures for the purpose of obtaining the approval of recommendation to make the Rosa Parks’ “Quiet Courage” Serigraph into a United States Commemorative Postal Stamp. By fine Artist Jameel Rasheed Autographed by Mrs. Parks, the “Quiet Courage” Serigraph is permanently installed in City Halls across the United States and as slides in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. This historical piece of art, which is a personal tribute to Mrs. Parks, also hangs on the walls in public schools, libraries, banks universities and the United States Capitol building.  We, the citizens of the United States of America, with our signatures agree to the above statements made by the Rosa Parks Stamp Coalition and the New Images Foundation, and, recommend this serigraph for stamp consideration.

I was looking at the serigraph again this morning and thinking about how it really needs to be on a stamp so it can travel into people's homes everywhere. It has been such a journey talking to folks who remember seeing the piece in various city halls or schools which honestly feels like the whole point of this project.

I see this serigraph in the school and it always catches my eye. It would look perfect as a stamp. Hope this happens soon.

This would be an amazing tribute. She deserves to be honored this way and the artist did a beautiful job with that piece.
