Hardship Registration for the Arabian Horse Association

I would do this in a heartbeat for Sienna!!! She was a rescue,straight off the meat truck, I did a DNA test on her, and she is almost 100% Arabian! This is fantastic.

This would help out an awful lot of horses who have been "lost" through no fault of their own find softer landings in the rescue world!

There is no reason for an Arabian to be stripped from its heritage due to irresponsible owners.

There are too many situations such as described in this petition that have come up where these rescue horses cannot be shown. It's a common occurance these days. I'd like to see that changed.

I have a pb gelding I picked up at the local feeder sale. He came with extensive notes, and I spoke with his previous owner. Through that, I was able to trace his pedigree with help of a professional. His purebred dam was not registered (though her parents were), but his sire is. I would love to be able to at least register him as a HA.

I have a slaughter bound Arabian I saved I would love to register!

I rescued a Arabian Mare with no name, papers and just a meat tag! I think that the AHA should help these rescues find there identity and reunite them with there papers and discount the cost of the DNA test. The individuals who are selling these Arabians without their papers and their identity should be either be barred from the AHA or fined to cover the cost of recovering the horse's registration and their identity! It is appauling what is happening to these majestic horses. I had 3 AHA registered Arabians in my life and I made sure that their papers were transferred with them. The saddest thing of all is I know nothing of where my new mare has been, where she came from and what her name is!

I have rescued and owned a few Arabians. Some registered, some did not have their papers. This would add life saving value to the poor ones who's owners did not include papers with the sale.

I rescue and show many nice registered and non registered half and purebred Arabians. I would be so grateful if my non registered rescues could be recognized
