Proposing a change to the Arabian Horse Association rules to allow for a new classification of registration to allow unregistered Arabian and half Arabian geldings and spayed mares to receive a hardship registration. A DNA test would be administered to show Arabian heritage and this would grant the horses showing privileges in half Arabian classes at AHA horse shows. This change would help rescue organizations find good loving homes for the horses they work so hard to save. In addition, it would increase the number of horses eligible for AHA shows and draw more people to participate in AHA events.

Please include full name and AHA membership number if applicable.

I rescue Arabs in need and like this idea very much. A lot of people only want to adopt Arabians with proper papers to be allowed to compete in AHA events. Without this benefit, a lot of nice Arabs will continue to stand in Rescues un-adoptable.

Please stand up and support the need for registration papers for rescued Arabians. Whether from a kill pen or saved off of a free Craigslist ad. AHA is suppose to be an ambassador for this majestic breed. Stand behind the people trying to save them!!

I have a stallion that I know both parents of. But because the sire's owner died and the husband refused to sign the transported shipped semen report, my guy was never registered. Would LOVE to finally get his papers to carry on his heritage. I'm all for this!!!

I am an aha member I don't have my card on me at the moment. I have a grade Arabian that would rock in sport horse. I'm sad I cannot show him. If this gets passed I could show him . And my kids also could in walk trot. He is beautiful.

I have a rescued Arab gelding and would love to be able to show him in Half-Arabian classes. Currently, I am restricted to open classes. My horse is a very well built representative of the breed and I am sure he would represent the breed well.

My first horse was an Arabian that was sold without her papers. I am 99% sure I found her in the AHA database, but it was before DNA was a thing, so there was no way to prove it. I would've killed to be able to register her and show her locally.

This may increase participation in the shows and stir some interest.

I bought an arab stallion (gelded him) without papers or any thing about his pedigree. I would love to register him even if it is as a half-arab.
