Yes!!!! This is the best idea I've seen in awhile. I'd be hard pressed to purchase an unregistered horse. They're harder to sell and can't be shown in breed shows. This would be awesome for rescues as well as "oops'" that happen. I saw a 99.2% buckskin colt for sale as a grade because both parents were 99.2%. This was obviously an oops and this gorgeous colt is hardly saleable. Would provide a much better future for these horses.

By allowing hardship registration of Arabians purchased at auction, from feedlots, from those bound to load those slaughterhouse trucks, rescued, all those souls given up by their previous owners without their papers, etc... , you would be allowing many more to be saved. These saved horses would then be able to move on to other careers and really be able to be showcases for saving even more Arabians. Let them live and win❣️

This is a win win situation for the horses and the AHA.

Those rescued Arabs deserve to be recognised as it wasn't their fault that they ended up without papers. We have one rescue who we are hoping to dna soon and don't feel that she should be penalized due to human error.

This will help Arabians that are saved from auctions go to living homes that want to show or compete with their new companions for LIFE.

Arabian horses are so important today because of their decline and we are rescuing them from terrible situations and bringing them back to their Former glory

Please allow this rule change to benefit those who do everything in their power to rescue horses from kill pens. These individuals give loving homes to these horses and should not be prohibited from showing because of the misfortune of the horse being separated from its papers.

As an owner of competitive registered arabians for 25 years I would renew my competition membership with AHA following this rule change. One of my most athletic arabians is currently unable to be registered, as he is a rescue. Let him and his unregistered brethren have a chance to shine at our National shows!

100% agree. Let’s slow down the slaughter pipeline and get registrations back up!

It appears that AHA is only concerned with money and memberships and not truly the well-being of our breed.

Many thoughtfully bred Arabians are finding themselves in the slaughter pipeline. They deserve to have the ability to preserve their heritage. It may help them keep their lives.

I have 28 rescued Arabian horses at my rescue Love this Horse, Equine Rescue. Only one has his papers. The AHA rules need to change!

This is also great for when a stallion owner backs out of a breeding and will not sign.

Anything to get horses safe and back to a career! Papers can dramatically help in some cases. For the love of our breed! Even the thrown away ones!
