This petition is to show the support of residence that would benefit from the hard surfacing of 168th Lane in Warren Co., IA. We would like to be considered and be included in the 4 Corners projected already approved by the county which represents $15 million dollars in road improvements in the next 5 years. We are open to alternative hard surfacing options besides concrete such as chip seal, crushed asphalt or other alternatives that would create a hard surface and improve travel and quality of life on 168th lane.

The growth in support has caught the attention of the Warren County Board of Supervisors. I am currently preparing a formal letter to request an inclusion of our section in their current infrastructure planning sessions.

That road cost me $900.00 to have the rocker panels on my new van painted. It only took 2 months for damage to be done
the road becomes a muddy minimum maintenance road after it rains. A road with this much traffic should be paved. Bank Swallow Bend visitors (birdwatchers, hunters, fisherman, hikers) are continuously dusted due to non-stop gravel dust from the heavy traffic.
Traffic volume clearly defines need. Traffic has and will continue to grow. Clay and mud base creates hazardous conditions to vehicles and drivers. The vehicles and residence will thank you!
Due to the hazards associated with this road, multiple young drivers have lost control and gone in the ditch. Some have experienced life-altering injuries.
The road becomes hazardous after rains and in the spring when the frost goes out. With the rapid development in this area and the understanding that this road is becoming a popular alternative to s23 , I would hope safety on this road would be a consideration.
