Half days at Perry High School should start later in the day and end at 3:00 pm instead of starting at 8:00 am! Everyone would enjoy sleeping in later, teachers and students, and a lot of students definitely need the sleep! Why wake up at 6:00-7:00 am just to be at school for about 3 hours? nobody wants that! Why cant we wake up 9-10 so we can be at school for the same amount of time and get more sleep and get out at 3:00. A lot of students dont get a lot of sleep because of stress from school and homework, so when we have a half day, students would get overjoyed at the fact of sleeping in a few extra hours because we definitely need it and deserve it! The volume of support has reached a level where the district administration can no longer ignore this proposal. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the school board to request a meeting regarding these scheduling adjustments.
