It would be a travesty for this to be removed. It is a part of history and beautiful in many many ways.

The views from the top of these stairs look breath taking. I hope someday to be able to see it for myself.

An excellent view point of Hawaii. It should be opened for tourists publicly and entrance fee maybe charged for maintanance cost.

This is a historical piece of Hawaiian history and should be re-opened for all to enjoy. I would totally support the idea of charging a fee to climb the stairs, which would in turn help to pay for maintenance and upkeep . You would be able to better control the influx of tourist around the neighborhoods where the stairs are located.

Lots of great points here. In addition, since closing the stairs, there has been an unlimited amount of lost potential revenue the stairs could have generated by now. Charge a fee for a license, even just a limited amount a week or month, sign a waiver and almost everyone will be happy.

Desde Buenos Aires, Argentina; leí sobre esta petición de las "escaleras al cielo" y sería increíble la apertura al público. Seria un placer ir a conocer esto alguna vez.. Lo mejor desde acá!

This should be designated a national park area - and open to the public for use.

Such a waste to keep this phenomenal place closed down.
