Historical sites should all be preserved and even better if they're preserved and people are allowed to hike them. History should not be forgotten and it's better to see and feel and live it than read about it in a book.

Saw a picture of the stairs and told my wife that we need to put Hawaii on the top of our list for trips. Too bad the reason for my interest is closed for many years. Hope it reopens.
