The Haiku stairs is the most Significant view we have on our Island and should be open to the public just as the beach is open to the public. Local people should not get fined for going on a hike. This was the most memorable experience I had in my life so far and would love to go up again one day in the near future!

I dont have any memories of hiking the trail yet. I was always waiting for my chance to hike the trail, but since it has been closed I have tried to be respectful to the people in the area and wait for it to be open legal and safely. Now because of typical politics I probably will not have the chance.
Do the right thing open it up to the public on a restricted basis...Requiring a paid admission of 5 or 10 dollars for fixing and upkeep is better than spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to dismantle it and never have a way to recoup it.
