People are going to climb them whether they're open or not; open them, repair them, and charge to make it safer!

These stairs are part of what makes Hawaii so fabulous; breathtaking views of natural wonders. If the stairs don't reopen, it will be sending a strong message that the rights of the uber rich are being placed above the rights of the public to enjoy the natural landscape. The stairs were there when they decided to buy or build their homes. Do not allow them to now exclude the public because they don't want "outsiders" in their neighborhood.
