Reopen Haiku Stairs

Please do not take this beautiful sight away - it is my dream to hike these stairs one day!

Stairway to Heaven has become a ritual for many of my friends and I. To us it is seen as one of the wonders of the world and I'm sure many see it also as amazing. To completely take away something so beautiful would be devastating.

We need another place to hike and stairway to heaven is perfect!

Please, don't take this away from people who come from all over the world to see it !

I'll be happy to put my foot there !

Totally willing to sign a liability waiver and pay a small fee to climb this hike! As someone who grew up in Hawaii and has been to 46/50 states and traveled internationally, there is nothing like this hike -- If we truly have the spirit of Aloha, we should share it with the world. I think it's a great idea to financially support the state through this means (aka Hiking fees), while also promoting hiking-safety instructions/guidelines.

Please open the stairs. Hiking the Haiku Stairs is on my bucket list. I would fly to Hawaii just for that.

The stairs are way too beautiful to be closed! People will do them no matter what; might as well regulate it!

I would love for the stairway to be reopened! What a great way to get the best scenic walk/hike of your life!! :)

I would love to be able to climb the stairs legally and preserve this for everyone who would love to do the same.

I'm traveling to Oahu in March to do the climb.
