Why not repair something so amazing and beautiful. If it is part of National Park system charge a climb fee for step maintaince and issue permits to limit crowds. It would be a sin to forever lose this amazing climb.

I work on a cruise ship, and this "adventure" if open and legal, could attract a lot of out of state revenue market it correctly, give the operating lines discounts to entice visitors, and you've got a sustainable operation.

Historical sites are best kept when trails are felt by experience. I support the cause of reopening the Haiku Stairs.

Hawaii has many historical sites and this should be made/ stay as one. Keep it around for generations to experience. I support the cause.
