The city has formally approved the plans to build our skate park in Guildwood. This result confirms that our neighborhood values providing a dedicated space for our youth to gather and practice their skills safely. Please stay tuned as we track the construction progress in the coming months.

Guildwood Village is a community that has a large population of kids and teens. We are proposing the construction of a skateboard park within the community so that youth have somewhere to skate/bike/blade/whatever where they aren't going to get yelled at by shop owners or risk running into the elderly. It's simple, build the skate park and everyone will be happy. Sign this petition if you believe that the community of Guildwood could benefit from a new skateboard park. :)

The feedback from local families reinforces that our young residents simply need a dedicated space to be active and visible. I have been coordinating with a few community members to formalize our proposal before we approach the city council. This process requires patience but the growing interest from our neighbors confirms that this investment in our youth is long overdue.

Seeing this momentum grow has shifted my perspective on how much our community truly values a space for our local youth. It is clear that the need for a dedicated area to skate and ride is shared by many more people than I originally imagined.

Keep them off the sidewalks and away from traffic. Makes total sense to me.

Kids are just trying to have fun. Better they are at a park than bothering people near the shops.

Its about time we invested in something for the youth in this area. Skateboarding isnt a crime.

FINALLY. There is literally nothing for the teens to do around here except hang out at the plaza and get in trouble.

My son skates every single day and has to take the bus super far just to find a decent spot. Guildwood needs this.

Hope this actually happens. Tired of seeing boards on the main road at night. Just build it already!
