Keep Lake Crest where it is. We are staying put!
Bad planning by the board again. Look at the numbers before you start moving families around like pawns.
We bought our house specifically for these schools. Dont mess with our kids rezoning. Leave us at Gwin and Simmons.
My kids have friends here and we have been apart of this community for years. Moving us now is just wrong.
Lake Crest was started in the early 1990's way before, Ross Bridge, Preserve, Brocks Gap, Lake Cyrus, and parts of Trace Crossings. The Hoover Board of Education along with the Planning and Zoning Commission should have discussed long range planning which it appears they did not. Lake Crest residents purchased their homes so their children could attend Gwin and Simmons Middle School. Therefore, I firmly believe Lake Crest should be grandfathered as it is now zoned. Also, how many new homes have been constructed in Hoover since 2007, when the City Council took school funds away? How much additional tax revenue did these new homes bring into the City of Hoover and where has it been spent?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Why are they targeting us when the city keeps building new subdivisions everywhere?? Stop the madness.
