Bring Back Black & White to GSN!!!
Many classic TV fans were outraged when the cable channel GSN dropped black & white programming from their regular schedule on March 30, 2009. Some of the programs which ultimately fell victim to this schedule change included What's My Line, I've Got A Secret, To Tell The Truth, and The Name's The Same. These programs are a fantastic glimpse of the metamorphosis of American culture in the 1950s and 1960s, and are full of legendary public figures, and they should be seen. Viewers were eventually given a taste of the classic 60s Password, and short runs of What's My Line and I've Got A Secret, but the network hasn't yet brought these shows back to the permanent schedule. The recent limited run of these shows in December 2010 brought excellent ratings, and there is demand among viewers to bring them back for good. The hope is that we, as viewers, can make our wishes known to GSN Programming, and/or network president David Goldhill, so that these timeless shows can be seen once again. If you're a fan of classic TV, classic movies, or 20th Century American history, please make your voice heard!!!
