TO: The LTISD Superintendent and Board of Trustees We, the undersigned residents of the Lake Travis Independent School District, oppose the proposed condemnation of the Grumbles family ranch located at 15318 Hamilton Pool Rd. Austin, TX 78738 or any such taking of private property by the District. This is not a situation where the District has no choice but condemnation. We urge LTISD to restrict their property search only to those properties where the owners are willing sellers. Property ownership is a fundamental principle and right in the United States and in the state of Texas. The exercise of, or threat of, the power of eminent domain by the District is an assault on that principle and erodes the rights of all property owners. We respectfully suggest that the LTISD focus on properties located in the western part of the district where there is rapid growth, where residents are eager for school facilities and where there are available large tracts for sale.

The LTISD board thinks they can just bulldoze our neighbors without taking notice of our outrage. We are almost at one hundred signatures so stop scrolling and send this link to your neighbors right now to show them we are watching.

Ridiculous that they think they can just take private land because they feel like it. Stop the eminent domain abuse!

This is just pure bullying by the district. Leave the Grumbles family alone and find somewhere else to build.

My family has lived out here for years and we are sick of the board overstepping. Keep your hands off their ranch.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Find a willing seller or stop expanding until you do. Property rights actually mean something in Texas.

Stay off their property. There are plenty of other spots in the district that actually want a school.
