A petition for grt bus drivers to have more mandatory training before having the lives of people in their hands.
For better stroller safety on busses And for cameras on the outside of the busses so reckless driving is seen
On March 12 2023 at about 8pm my son was flipped on a grt bus in his stroller because the driver was speeding. Breaks on, I was holding it and the driver didn’t stop until I said something. The grt supervisor I talked to was rude unprofessional and genuinely didn’t care about the situation at all. This is a petition to make grt drivers have to do more training before they have the lives of people in their hands. Also for cameras on the outside of the bus so when drivers are driving recklessly it can be proven and more stroller safety for on the bus. Something to make them more secure. We were lucky he was ok and he wasn’t younger and more fragile, but next time someone might not be so lucky. Police say they can’t do anything so this is the next best step.

I spent the morning reading through the comments you all left and my heart just sinks thinking about how many people have felt unsafe on these buses. Being ignored by the supervisor was the absolute worst part for me but seeing so many of you backing this up makes me feel like maybe they actually have to listen to us eventually. I am still emailing people at the transit office while trying to figure out how to get someone to pay attention to the stroller issues because it really should not be this hard to keep a child safe on a ride home.

This happens way too much. I stopped taking the bus with my daughter because they just slam on the brakes out of nowhere. We need something to strap the strollers in place.
GRT Drivers need more, intensive and Thorough training.. I have ridden on these busses and I can honestly agree with this petition!! I also believe the bus driver should be fired and have their license suspended!!!!
Drivers act like they are driving race cars. Cameras on the outside would definitely make them think twice before speeding around corners.
My daughter stroller went flying on the bus too same story bus driver was speeding and threw on his brakes .Stroller brakes where on and I was even holding the stroller but I feel as well .
Yep more safety training is very important and cameras on outside of bus thank goodness the child was not badly hurt
