The variance requests have been formally denied. I am drained from this long fight but I am relieved our neighborhood standards held firm. Keep a close eye on the permit board because we cannot let our guard down completely.

We, the residents of Green Trails Neighborhood insist that Harris County, and The Association of Green Trails Board Members maintain the regulations of Harris County regarding location of communication towers. SECTION 5.01- ISSUANCE OF PERMITS "Structure is not to be built within 300 feet or the height of the structure, whichever is greater, of a residential subdivision"

We oppose all proposed 5G towers (five locations as of 2/23/2020), and any future variance requests in our area by Verizon and it's agent KGI Wireless, INC located at 805 Las Cimas Pkwy, Building Three, Suite 370, Austin, Texas 78746.

See grounds for opposition below;

  • We feel the variance requests for proposed 5G towers are not in the best interest of the public and our residents.
  • We feel the variance requests for proposed 5G towers would not result in unnecessary hardship for Verizon.
  • We feel the proposed 5G towers in the variance requests pose a health risk to ourselves, our children, and our animals as there are currently no scientific studies providing safety of the proposed 5G towers.
  • We feel the proposed 5G towers will lower our home property values resulting in an economic hardship to homeowners of Green Trails.
  • We feel aesthetically the proposed 5G towers will take away from the beauty of our neighborhood.

Sincerely, The Residents of Green Trails

We hit one hundred signatures today. It is exhausting work to fight these corporations but seeing the neighborhood come together like this helps keep me going.

Seeing this grow has been a heavy experience given the wall we are up against. I am exhausted by the constant uphill battle but your participation forces me to stay in the fight.

The path forward has been an exhausting climb but we are nearing the threshold of 250 signatures. If you can take a moment to post this link to your social media feed we might finally get the attention we need from the board.

I just recently purchased my home. I disagree with the installation of the towers. It will impact the value of our property. I am deeply concerned about the health of my family and neighbors of our community.

I agree with prior comments asking for more information from the HOA that should include the full buildout plan and the studies that support safety concerns. What benefits or advantages are we expected to gain ? In other words, why is this is in our best interest as opposed to Verizon. Are other carriers going to use these towers or additional required ect......

I live at 207 Owens Park Dr, Houston TX 77094 and do not wish to have these unsightly towers in my neighborhood.

I do not support these towers in our neighborhood and am amazed that no one let the homeowners know about them. HOA just approved these without any notice whatsoever?! They are an eyesore to our neighborhood and not welcome

This is an unwanted and un-requested intrusion into our community. What happens when another technology vendor want to do the same thing or something similar? Over time our community landscape will be littered with such structures like so many billboards.

The risk of 5G microwave radiation to human health is credible. I support denial of Verizon variance request.

I oppose to have 5G poles in my neighborhood without any further information regarding the potential health impact of the residents.
