The league finally agreed to shift the summer schedule and give our children the time on the pitch they deserve. It was a long road to get here but I am relieved we can move forward. We need to keep a close watch to ensure the transition happens exactly as …

Far too many games have been called off at Mini Football age group level due to to weather and pitches being unplayable. It's time to change grassroots season for Under 6s to 11s age group's to March - October. This will give children at this age a chance to play more football than they are today! Please sign the petition so we can take this to Flintshire Junior league to try and push this proposal through!

The feedback from coaches has been exhausting because they all agree the current season is failing our kids. I am currently sifting through their experiences to build a case that the league board cannot ignore.

Seeing this much backing makes the early mornings and constant setbacks feel worth the struggle. We have real momentum now and I intend to keep pushing until the league listens to what we need.

How can young children learn and develop IF they are too cold? We can still have tournaments in the summer, with light night's no reason we can't have mid week games.

Councils simply do not have the money to invest in 3G pitches or to spend on maintaining grass pitches. Move to spring & autumn and have futsal indoors throughout the winter.

Our u10s have only played one game on grass in the last 2 months. What's the point in a league when half the games get called off every year

My u8's team has not played for 8 weeks, they are missing out on so much, not just football development but bonding & mixing with boys & girls from all around the region which is totally unacceptable when it can be avoided by simply adjusting the season to the summer.

Children committed to training week in week out suffer disappointment on a regular basis due to cancelled games. Children showing promising potential cannot get the game time needed to progress to academy level

My son suffers from asthma and is always worse during winter so this would be great for him!!
