Grandparents As Parents are appealing to the government for better financial and care packages, easier residence orders and readily available support to be given to grandparents who are bringing up their grandchildren on a full time basis. We are also asking for a childminding allowance to be paid to grandparents who are looking after their grandchildren whilst the parent or parents work. We are also campaigning for an allowance similar to that of the foster carers allowance to be made payable. We therefore call on The House of Commons for changes in the law to enable this.
