There is absolutely no reason to not have this.

I was on the first committee we had about grandchild rules. My grandchildren enjoyed their limited time at the pool. No lifeguards are necessary!

One of the reasons that we selected this neighborhood was the Grandchild Swim program. I feel that ending it is removing a "perk" that has existed for many years (imagine what would happen if the board decided to eliminate pickleball!). It's a disservice to those of us that enjoy spending time with the kids. I have never personally witnessed any behavior that warrants ending the program. There are rules that should be enforced to keep any issues to a minimum. We moved from a mixed community in NC that had a pool and there were no lifeguards, but there were kids of all ages. No problems!!! I honestly have to wonder how many of the board members who voted against the program have grandchildren that would be at the pool. I also believe that the board is reacting to the complaints of a handful of cranky individuals who aren't kid-friendly!

This was a major selling point for us when we decided to buy in Anthem Ranch last year.

A solution in search of a problem. Overreaction to a perceived problem of being sued. There is no better lifeguard than a grandparent.

We have enjoyed the grandchild swim over the past 6 years. I have never noticed any bad behavior during our visits. The kids there were just acting like kids and the grandparents were always on duty. The trend lately at the club is everything you do there you have to have rules and pay to do it.

I think the board could have been more open to other solutions

Please restore grandchildren’s swim. Before I moved here, I confirmed that there were times when the grandchildren could swim here. I would not have chosen AR if my grandchildren had not been welcome. My grandchildren are older now, but I want to attract new residents with younger grandchildren. The vast majority of folks who live here, moved to AR to be near their children and grandchildren. Surely we can allow multigenerational gatherings a few hours a week.

My four granddaughters have loved using the Anthem Ranch swimming pool. It is such a fun way to interact and enjoy these fleeting moments with our grandchildren. To charge a fee seems harsh as it has always been considered a wonderful amenity provided by our Association.

It's been fun having some of my grandchildren swim at the pool with me occasionally.

Please, continue to fund the Grandchild Swim at Anthem Ranch. It's a worthwhile program that brings joy to all of us "seniors", as well as for the children, themselves.

I am totally in support of the Grandchildren Swim and I don’t have grandchildren.
