My two grandchildren look forward to swimming with us on Sundays. It is a lovely bonding time. I urge you to support this program.

Though I don’t have any grandchildren, I have no issues allowing a Grandchild Swim (during certain hours) for those who do. I think the GS can be a time of bonding for both child & grandparent. Thanks!

I think it is important to have time with grandkids and swimming is a great way to do so.

Like so many of the other comments, we moved here to be close to family and share quality time with them. They love to swim and we all were looking forward to the grandkids swim this summer.

So many of us moved to Anthem Ranch to be close to family. I'm one of them and I'm outraged to learn people object to grandkids in the pool.

Many Grandparents have moved to Anthem Ranch to be near their grandchildren, why make this decision feel wrong by ostracizing their loved ones for only 9 hours a week of shared time at the pools?

I strongly oppose this board policy!

We have lived in anthem since the beginning. Our grandkids are older now, but we enjoyed our time being with them at the grandkids swims. It would be a tragedy to eliminate such a rewarding Grandkid Swim program. I'm sure the BOD can make the continuation of this program happen.

I for one am sorry to hear that you have been negatively labelled for a personal opinion, which you have a right to. I hope you can equally appreciate why over 250 residents who have signed the petition: some of whom have young grandchildren now; some of whom had young grandchildren in the past with whom they have fond memories of sharing their homes and their home community for short periods of time; and some anticipate being grandparents in the future and hoped to have the same amenity available to them that others have had for the past 17 years. In case someone reads your post, I want to make sure it is clear that it is not 3 days that resident grandparents could share the pool amenity with their grandchildren but it was 3 hours, 3 days a week. The hours that were designated for residents and their grandchildren were the least likely to be used by residents, 11am until 2pm.

I can’t comment with out endorsing your cause?!? You are truly creating an echo chamber with your dramatic selfishness. Three days per week is ridiculously selfish. I am not a child-hate, but have been labeled as such for not supporting your cause. Pretty sad that I need to remain anonymous among my neighbors to voice my opinion out of fear of retribution.

The Board needs to create an opportunity for AR grandparents to enjoy this amenity with their family

I am so disappointed to hear of the notice to stop grandchild swim. This is one of the only things I do at the clubhouse. This is suppose to be an inclusive community and the thought that one or two complaints led to this situation. I have only used the grandchildren swim a handful of times and have never witnessed anything out of hand. I can not tell you how annoyed and disappointed I am. It makes me wonder if the handful of complaints you had are the same people that have complaints about everything. The board should consider the source! Judy Marrocco

My grandchild is too old now for Grandchild Swimm but treasure many happy memories of bonding time!

Many residents moved here to be near their grandchildren. They should be able to bring them to the pool.

I wish there were a few more days for Grandchild swim. My grandkids don’t live here and the chance that they might be here on one of the 9 days is pretty slim.
