I believe this is a mistake to cancel grandchild swim. Very disappointed in this decision.

From what we understand all the insurance, lifeguard, etc issues were met. So please keep grandkid day going.

I have lived in 2 55+ communities and they haven’t had lifeguards. They have had assigned times and guardians are responsible. Is it a Colorado law?

I believe this is important for our community to allow grandparents and grandchildren/families to share in our community. If we need to take this to a vote to have this approved and included our community we should do it. This would be what we expected when we moved/bought into Anthem Ranch.

I don’t have grandkids yet I certainly enjoy seeing kids at the pool. I don’t understand the problem that has arisen to compel the board to cancel this Anthem activity but as reasonable people I’m sure something can be worked out in order to allow kids to join family members at the pool a few hours each week during the summer. Several suggestions were listed in other people’s comments.

Many people moved to Anthem Ranch to be near their grand children. Being able to be with grandchildren in the pool was a critical factor in selecting to move into this community. Grandchildren’s swim program need to be restored.

It’s great to live in this community, and we like the adult atmosphere, however, we would like grandchildren swim to be reinstated. We want our grandkids to have fond memories of coming to grandma’s house and some of the fun things we do in our community. We have a great pool set up here in Anthem- a shallow area, etc- especially for young children who we want to be part of our lives. We don’t want to feel like our community is a “hands-off” place. Besides that, many people moved from other states because of grandchildren. In the past there have been several opportunities to include grandchildren in occasional activities on site, but now there’s only the holiday party that I’m aware of. Please reinstate weekend times and a couple times during the week as a way to spend special time with our grandkids. Marge Fajardo

I support a grandchildren swim time. I believe all grandparents should be fully responsible for their grandchildren at all times.

Maybe a question that should be asked of new BOD candidates. Next year , Are you in favor of grand children swim and should life guards be required and who should pay for them?

I support Grandchildren swim. Who is running AR, the Board or Lawyers?

We have a policy which if it’s nit going to be followed must go through the policy system to be removed. Until then the policy MUST stay in effect. My position is for Grand Children Swim to stay in effect.
