I believe that quality health services should be accessible to ALL Australians, regardless of where they live, through whatever means possible. The Government should extend Medicare rebates to include Telehealth consultations by General Practitioners who provide specialised or locally-unavailable health services directly to patients in rural and remote areas.

I worked in a low SES community in WA and these specialised menopause sessions were affordable at 50% discount but now I can no longer advise my clients to have them at full cost. We have such minimal good quality information here about menopause so this is an incredible pity.

This needs to stay. I have used telehealth a couple of times this year and it has saved me having to book time of work to physically go to the doctors for results etc. This should be kept as it is accesible for anyone anywhere.

Is a must not only moving forward in a world with COVID19 but also so people in remote communities can access care that they need without the added expense of having to travel and stay in city locations. It has the ability to not only reduce travel and expenses but also improve health outcomes through improved access.

This service should be a medicare rebate service as I have been to my GP clinic and others , who are just unable to address my perimenopause problems that keep occuring.

The absolutely FANTASTIC menopause clinic I have found is on the opposite side of the city to where I work and only operates Mon to Fri. Telehealth appointments allow me to have a consultation without taking a half day off work to attend. Telehealth Medicare rebates should stay.

It's vital rural Australian women have the same access to medical health and consultations that metropolitan women do. We tend to neglect our own health above family health as it is and if it's not easy or affordable to access this problem will become a real issue

Regional health care has been the most traumatising degrading experience of my lifetime A simple health problem turned into a life destroying prolonged nightmare caused by the health care professionals who should have helped me when I was vulnerable however they bullied me relentlessly and intentionally caused me harm mentally and physically for 7 long years until they broke me completely I died nearly literally and only survived because fortunately my self esteem was in tact to this day their substandard treatment of me is still destroying my life I now have chronic health issues going from bad to certain death however I am committed to finding my way back to good health since COVID and telehealth sadly my community is not surviving and I can’t live with that so I am now committed to exposing the healthcare professionals and the systems they exploit despite the consequences on my future healthcare because telehealth is my lifeline to good health but it’s tragic when you cannot afford to get help you need because of money Regional patients need urgent intervention by medicare to fund their right to access the highest standard of healthcare in the world that Australia the lucky country has
