Fellow citizens,

Please join us in our quest to urge government leaders to take action on a proven solution to fight Harmful Algal Blooms (i.e. toxic algae, red tide, cyanobacteria, blue-green algae, toxic algae). This has been tested successfully, with proven results, in 2 other countries.

Here are the facts...

97% of our surface water on Earth is undrinkable (salt water), 3% is freshwater, but 2% of that is polluted. That leaves us with only 1% of fresh, drinkable surface water for all the planet to share.

Above is an aerial photo of a harmful algal bloom on Lake Erie; 1/5th of the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes account for 20% of that 1% of the Earth's freshwater and 95% of our country's freshwater supply.

Billions of Federal and State money have been spent on this decades-long battle to protect us from these dangerous blooms but unfortunately with limited to no results.

Shocked? Concerned?... you should be.

Harmful Algal Blooms affect not only our waters, but also the air we breathe.

Blooms affect all aquatic life, pets, drinking water supplies, ecosystems, agriculture, tourism, fishing, and real estate industries; respectively.

These blooms are responsible for roughly $4 billion in economic losses and thousands of pet deaths (primarily dogs) every year throughout our country - and the problem is getting worse!

If we do not change our approach on how we attack this problem today, we will leave an even bigger problem for our children and grandchildren tomorrow. Unfortunately, by that time, it may be too late.

This is so scary. Fixing this needs to be a priority before the whole ecosystem just collapses completely.
