Go Skateboarding Day (June 21st) at Kingston City Hall (where they put the skating rink)
If you would like to support an event that would take place at city hall for the global wide Go Skateboarding Day please sign below. The purpose of this petition is to convince the city to let us use the area for the event in the evening on Monday June 21st. Any and all proceeds would go forth toward funding for a new skateboard park.

I was just looking at the plaza again today and it really is the perfect spot for a ramp or even just some flat ground and I keep thinking if we could just get someone in the planning office to listen we might actually pull this off. I have been drafting a few emails to the local parks department and honestly it is taking way longer than I thought it would but I am not stopping now since everyone here keeps showing such cool energy.

my son would love this! such a cool way to raise money for the new skatepark.
Good luck guys. Local skaters deserve a proper place to ride.
Finally some progress. The current state of skating in this city is a joke.
kingston needs a real park bad. kids have nowhere to go and get hassled for just rolling around downtown. let us use the space for one day at least.

The rink area is perfect for this. Stop treating us like criminals just for wanting to skate.
