As of right now any form of skateboarding where your wheels leave the ground (ie. doing tricks) is prohibited across all of UNCG's campus.
We are hoping to create an enclosed spot that that will be a flat slab of concrete about the size of a basketball court. Hopefully we will be able to make it open to DIY and make it into a park.
We need to create this safe spot skate spot to ensure that students will not be prosecuted for skateboarding on campus. Currently the regulations state that students can not let their skateboard wheels leave the ground, and if they do they can be prosecuted.
This is currently a work in progress and the next step is to meet with the Student Government Association. But the biggest thing we need right now is your support, so sign this petition!

All for safe skating! Think of the positive effect of being outside, instead of hooked on electronics.
finally some movement on this. tired of getting kicked out of parking decks
campus police bug me way too much for just practicing stationary tricks outside my dorm lol. hope this actually gets built.
skateboarding is not a crime UNCG get with the times
ridiculous that we pay tuition just to get hassled by security for rolling around. build the pad already!
cmon we already skate anyways
