I have seen several near misses despite there being a pedestrian crossing. Let's do something in retrospect rather than hindsight.

There is a lot of children around this area going from the three secondaries and primary school that will benefit. It is much needed, I do not live in this area nor do I have any children at these schools but I drive back this way after being in skipton on Mondays and I worry about the safety of those around the area. Please show concern and do what is needed.

Ridiculous this even needs a petition. This should be passed automatically. Good luck.

Gargrave Road along with Grassington Rd and Raikes Rd too should have 20 mph as should all the nearby roads. School children are at great risk in these locations.

It astounds me how selfish people are when parking or driving in areas near schools. A bit more thought please.

all schools situated on or near a road should have a 20 mph limit.

This is a no brainer, everyone should get behind the worthy petition.

This definitely needs to happen - that road has been a rat run for years and a limit should be put in place, not just for pupils but for residents as well

So many schools are on roads with 20mph limits for the safety of the children, ours should be the same. This is especially important when our school site is spread across Gargrave Road and pupils may have to cross a main road to get from one lesson to the next.

I live opposite Ermysted's school and see the problems the students have with all the traffic.

Variable (time) limit would be great!

I strongly believe that the safety of children is of very high importance, especially by a school where you would expect them to be safe. Having taken a course recently for speeding I think 10 miles per hour less on this road won't make an overall difference to a drivers journey. On the course I was taught about speed and the difference in time taken to reach abdestination which ended up as only a few minutes. If you're late,... you're late. 10 miles per hour isn't going to make a difference to a driver, but could make a world of difference to a child. thanks

All the schools near me are 20 mph so this one should be too

20 mph is proven to be safer, Especially important where there are young families
