This is a dangerous road with so many children crossing.

In order to maximise the increased safety impact of any measures, it seems vital to highlight school arrival and departure times.
I suggest FLASHING LIGHT mandatory reduced speed signs half an hour before until half an hour after arrival and departure times would be much more effective than a general speed reduction.
It would also acknowledge that the road is no different to other local roads outside term time.

There have already been two accidents on the road and a lowering of the speed will improve safety and reduce risk.

We live on Ash Grove opposite the Girls High School and we have an 11 year old boy at Ermysteds. We know how dangerous and congested Gargrave Road can be. My husband runs a business and can never park nearby dusing school hours. I welcome this change and hopefully it will be implemented before a serious accident takes place.

Full solution needed, with 20mph limit as part of the package.

Long over-due. We should act before someone is killed, not afterwards.

My son attends Ermysteds school and I am concerned about the high speed of traffic going past the school with poor visibility for pedestrians.

My granddaughter attends Skipton Girls' High School and last year witnessed a girl being knocked down, a 20 mph speed limit would be sensible

We as parents would wholeheartedly recommend the 20mph limit on Gargrave Road, Skipton.
The whole of Skipton is a pedestrian/cyclists nightmare-with frequent casualties to show for it.
But the schools area needs urgent attention, to prevent further accidents.
So please, act now on this.
