The 2000 census data indicates the median income for an individual in Ramsey County is $29,500 to $35,000. Last session, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners voted themselves a pay increase raising their annual salary from $63,948,to $80,000, an approximate 25 percent increase and this is for a PART TIME job. This means that the Ramsey County Commissioners will be paid approximately 2.5 times the median income of the people they represent. We, the undersigned support the candidacy of any individual running for the office of Ramsey County Commissioner who will propose the repeal of this pay increase if elected or any incumbent Ramsey County Commissioners who support and/or propose the repeal of this pay increase.
