Despite, campaigning for reduced taxes and spending your council has decided to give itself a 60% increase in pay. There was non public discussion or consultation on the matter and the bylaw was passed in one reading. The Mayor of the township had made a campaign promise for a 10% cut in his pay when he was elected. This never happened. Instead he has given himself a multi thousand dollar pay increase.
