we got the call and the district is finally bringing in a new coach for the team. honestly so relieved that we were listened to and i couldnt be happier with how this turned out. thanks to everyone who signed because we really did it.

Pleas help us use our voices. To show the administration of Greece Central school district, we need a experienced coach for girls varsity basketball at Greece Olympia high school. At this time we refuse to play basketball for the current coach.

im still talking to everyone i can about how important this is for the team and it feels like people are actually starting to listen. things are moving slow behind the scenes but we arent giving up until we get the coaching support the girls deserve.

im honestly so blown away by how much this has spread. it shows exactly how many people agree that we deserve better and we arent going to stop until we get a real coach.

I think Jeff Jung would be a great addition to the girls varsity coach. He has coached my son for the last past 6 years through GBA and also in AAU for team Elite. He’s a good coach. I love his coaching and he’s also a great person. I think he would be perfect for the girls varsity basketball team at Olympia High, so let’s give Jeff a try since what they have hasn’t been working. Maybe it’s time for a change.
The girls have been telling me they won't play basketball for a while now and I think it's time for them to actually get someone who is trying to invest and make these girls happy with playing a sport and not be miserable with it. There is talent, they just need to be guided by someone different in my opinion.
Olympia’s girls varsity team are in need of a skilled and experience coach to compete at the level of Section V. The girls also deserve to play against other teams that are fortunate to have an experienced coach that can coach them to Win. I feel like that’s a disadvantage for the Olympia girls to not be fortunate enough to have a good coach who can make them progress and motivate them to win.
These girls need a coach they can look up to and learn from. If a whole team of girls don't want to play for a particular coach, there has got to be a valaid reason. If they have no faith in that coach's ability then you have the wrong coach! Listen to your students/athletes!
This is my daughter's senior year and it would be a huge disappointment if what happened last year happens again. She played last year as she and the rest of the girls were committed to each other as well as the game. Unfortunately the Coach that was chosen to lead them did not know the game and the team suffered because of that. If you are not going to hire Jeff Jung as head Coach please find a Coach that is experienced and can teach and coach the girls. Last year was a huge waste of a year and talent due to the lack of experience. Mr Burke is a good man and good teacher but not a good coach for girls Varsity Basketball. Thank you
Basketball has been my favorite sport since i could remember and idk what I’d would be doing if i wasnt playing! No matter the circumstances the environment has always been fun and positive . As a captain/leader its my job to push the girls to be at their best even when we have no control over the situation, this past year was hard because we were out of control of the coaching situation and we knew then and know now that we do deserve better. Someone with more experience and knowledge of the game, if you ever played basketball competitively you would understand. I’ve always been respectful and a hard worker...my stats and accomplishments can speak for me. I thank everyone who supported us and tried to help no matter what happens we work hard and we fight for the things that matter to us. We care about our futures as players and want to succeed. Me and all of the varsity starters work during the off-season and play aau... we spent years rebuilding this program and it’s sad to watch it fall to crumbles. This is my senior year and i kinda just hoped for change but what can you expect...

They have been running the same plays for multiple years . Until you take it seriously and treat them with the same focus and attention as your male driven sports you will always live in the shadow of other Greece schools .
