He is a good kid who made a mistake. jail isnt going to help him finish his degree or help his family out. let him stay in school.
He really needs to stay in school. Jail would ruin his whole future.

Ridiculous to lock him up when he has a family relying on him. give him probation and let him keep attending sierra college.
