The parade is officially approved and I am honestly relieved to see this finally moving forward. Thank you to the 507 of you who kept pushing for these students when it felt like we were getting nowhere. Now it remains to be seen if we can organize this whole thing …

Our graduating seniors have worked so hard to reach this huge milestone. Let's show them that even in these very difficult times we care enough to celebrate them the best way we can. While we are having a drive through graduation at GHS, we should come together as a community and celebrate them. Many towns are celebrating their 2020 grads with car parades - this is a great way for us to cheer them on as a community while staying safe. Graduates get to decorate their cars, police and fire trucks lead the parade and we can as a community show them we celebrate their accomplishments. The class of 2020 deserves some fun and recognition. A Greenwich car parade is our chance to cheer them on in a safe way - together

The emails to the town council have been going out all week and I am waiting to hear if they will finally talk to us about the parade logistics. It is exhausting to keep pushing when there is so much silence on their end but these seniors deserve better than just letting this moment pass by.

As a parent of 3 kids, one that graduated GHS in 2018 brought on tears of joy to see him graduate. Now that his brother is graduating on Tuesday, the tears are a little different. He didn’t get to go to prom and now he can’t graduate the way his brother did or even be celebrated with a Senior grad party. I’m still grateful we get to see him cross a stage and turn his tassel. I hope their sister doesn’t get robbed of her rights of passage.

We proposed one down the Avenue ,a while back.... no parking, families can be in every other space ,,,, Plenty if room for everyone. Good luck with this!

A parade is a great idea. We did it after every win for the football team in Greenwich.

Once in a lifetime event that shouldn’t be taken away from these kids who worked so hard. If we can find a way to go shopping safely, we should be able to find a way for these kids to graduate safely.

These hard working seniors have forgone the joys of their last few months of high school— they deserve a parade

What a wonderful solution! Publish the parade route (through several streets in town, so we can socially distance ourselves) and let’s celebrate these great graduates!
