Our graduating seniors have worked so hard to reach this huge milestone. Let's show them that even in these very difficult times we care enough to celebrate them the best way we can. While we are having a drive through graduation at GHS, we should come together as a community and celebrate them. Many towns are celebrating their 2020 grads with car parades - this is a great way for us to cheer them on as a community while staying safe. Graduates get to decorate their cars, police and fire trucks lead the parade and we can as a community show them we celebrate their accomplishments. The class of 2020 deserves some fun and recognition. A Greenwich car parade is our chance to cheer them on in a safe way - together
As a parent of 3 kids, one that graduated GHS in 2018 brought on tears of joy to see him graduate. Now that his brother is graduating on Tuesday, the tears are a little different. He didn’t get to go to prom and now he can’t graduate the way his brother did or even be celebrated with a Senior grad party. I’m still grateful we get to see him cross a stage and turn his tassel. I hope their sister doesn’t get robbed of her rights of passage.
